When I saw the headline, I figured that idiot drone operators were just making it unsafe to take off. But an actual *collision* damaging the aircraft that badly? I’m furious! These planes are extraordinarily precious; there are only 10 in service in the US, including this one. When they find that drone pilot, he or

Have you ever seen a briefcase full of cash?  That’s likely part of the reason.

I just starting reading the books in order actually and am through the first two (Casino Royale and Live & Let Die), and you are spot on!  I mean, just wow. Not to mention, in the books, Bond never actually does...anything. He is constantly captured, anyone who had the misfortune of becoming his friend or partner is

Because the Vegas tunnel was backed by the private Vegas Tourism board, it’s exempt from federal scrutineers who may criticize its construction and operation...

I still prefer him to Musk!

the Vegas Loop can handle“For comparison, around 4,000 passengers per hour traveling through the tunnels in Tesla cars”

Math doesnt add up. Assume each direction has half the 4000 passengers. 2000 passengers one way, divide by 4 per car, means 500 vehicles per hour. Given there are 3600 seconds in an hour, means a car must leave every 7.2 seconds. Really?

Musk, Trump, Thiel, et al. are megalomaniacal psychopaths. James Bond would be sent to kill every one of them.

Jesus Christ, the semantics are making my head hurt:

I mean, I like everything the article has to say about the car, and I think the tidiness of the work really helps what is otherwise an unremarkable body, but is it really worth the price? I feel like if I were explaining this car to, say, my wife, I’d sound like a Corvette guy: “Oh yeah this isn’t just a Mustang it’s

A Viper, in more than one way.

An MGB - preferably from the late 60s - early 70s. It’s much more accessible and easier to drive than an MGA, an Austin Healey, classic Jags, stuff from the 50s and early 60s, etc. But it still gives you all the same feelings as those other vintage British roadsters. Certainly not something everyone should own - but

A 1990 Toyota Tercel. Specifically, a bare bones one with a manual.

Cybertruck

Any big old full sized, bench seat pick-up from the 70s, 80s or early 90s. They just force you to slow down, put an elbow on the windowsill, turn the radio dial to some local station and appreciate the sights, sounds and rattles as you amble along a 2-lane road with a friend or two. 50 years from now no one will give

a 1970's Cadillac Sedan deville. It drives so much like a “modern” car but it is so old. And so HUGE. If you align your front bumper with a modern car your front seat will be where the rear seat is of the other vehicle. Just experiencing what was “top of the line” 50 years ago will really make you appreciate your

How about an old-school pick-up, say a 1940's Ford F1

A mid ‘60s pickup truck. Not anything fancy. Preferably rusty and rattling. Maintained with the Shade Tree Mechanic aesthetic. Mismatched tires and torn seat covers. No AC. No power steering. Metal dashboard. Underpowered straight 6 and and a 4 speed manual. A three foot metal bar stick shift coming out of the
