Very loosely related - but mostly unrelated question - what the fuck is with the infotainment system on the current RAV4? The actual software itself is ...fine....but those giant chunky buttons straight out of the nineties attached to a thick monolith of plastic? It looks so astoundingly terrible I am having trouble…
My daughter has a Camry of this era. I ended up driving it and noticed a horrible shudder at 35 mph. A little digging found that Toyota had issues with the torque converter not locking up properly at light loads.
Speaking as someone who spent $1000 on gas in a week and half last year, drove about 4000 miles for the vacation, I’m glad I got a electric car for daily driving and etc...
A lot of people are complaining about safety features, monitors, cameras, and what not. I’ll take all of the assists you can throw at me, although maybe it’s just experience. I got the full package in my Ram and so far it hasn’t been so bad.
