Honestly, I always loved the progression in the GT series. Start out with 10k credits, buy a used FD RX7* for 9k and go hunt some Civics. Then you can take your couple grand in credits you just won and figure out whether you want to buy stickier tires, an upgraded suspension or a better clutch. Or do you just race it

In my experience, being house poor in some parts of CA can provide a significantly better quality of life than being financially flush elsewhere

This is it. Really sounds like Nathan is stopping himself just short of saying, “People with lots of money are incapable of knowing what it’s like to have little money or of advocating for change, so I wish Mr. Reddit woulda shut up.”

Welcome to tonight’s episode of the Corporate States of America!

It’s almost like Nissan has been lead by morons for the past 15 years and is paying for it now......

I spent a ton of time in my 20s fixing my own cars. When did I stop? When my kid hit about 5 yrs old. I had four cars, all with their own purpose (2 dailies, 1 weekend truck, 1 convertible fun-mobile), all bought and paid for. But every single one of them needed constant attention. oil changes, tire rotations, brake

This. This right here. There is no way, even if I have the expertise and knowledge that I will do it correctly the first time, that I can afford to spend 2 full working days and change to fix my car. My time is worth WAY more than that. Is it worth $3,550? Not entirely certain, but discounting this as just “a weekend

School Busses should be 100% electric.

And people think I’m weird because I’m not right-wing.

RE: You’ve clearly never been in a situation like that, and it shows.

This. Most definitely this.

All of these Trumpers melting down because they are facing legal consequences of an attempted coup need to quit their bitching. When you attempt a coup, you do it with the understanding that things will go very badly for you if you fail. They’re lucky they live in a country that will give them their day in court.

Why the quotation marks? Every one of the hundreds of millions of people who watched this unfold on live television knew exactly what it was before they even broke in the windows and entered the building. This has never been an allegation of insurrection, it has always been a matter of objective fact.

What the hell is he so afraid of?” Quite literally everything.

Because people are always so good at making good rational choices?

Even the non-allroad A4 wagon was ditched a number of years ago. VW ditched its wagons too. I love a good wagon and bought one of the last VW’s but I am a dying breed. I get why people like crossovers, but its just not for me. If I want to be high up, I’ll drive my truck. Most of the time, you’ll find me in my wagon

Here’s today’s puzzler: Wealthy Americans are more than willing to spend upwards of $150k on a fast, practical wagon. Why can’t anybody get them to spend $30k on a kinda fast, practical wagon? Is the venn diagram of “people who can afford and buy ultra luxury cars” and “people who like wagons” just a perfect

Eh, I think it varies from person-to-person; some people just have that type of personality where they can only seem to find one person / idea / object that brings them joy, so it becomes everything to them.
