TO be fair, that actually often happens when cars are stolen. However, given this guy’s MO, I would think it was a convenient excuse to dodge culpability for being a douchnozzle and crashing his own truck...

Haha true. Some of us have a sense of self preservation kick in right around the early 20s that prevents us from being so goddamn stupid we kill ourselves.

Counterpoint, no US businesses will make resistors or LEDs or random electronics components for even a fraction of the cost that you can get it shipped by ePacket. So if there were a domestic market to combat this, then sure I might buy this crap domestically. But there isn’t, so even if I wanted to, I couldn’t.

100% agree here. THough I’d add that I also don’t really like MB’s ostentatious styling. Its too shouty. Which is why I prefer Audis, more subtle, less of the “I’m compensating for something”.

SHILL!!!

I’ve taken the Acela Express from NYC to Boston once and it was a pretty enjoyable experience even if the train never really got to open the taps much.

This is a bad take though. The standard 235/40 tires on my A4 are a really good compromise between a tall mushy sidewall that rides well but rolls badly in aggressive turns, and a really short sidewall that gives you nice sharp handling, but will bend your wheel hitting the tiniest of pothholes and will transmit

The trick would be dealing with the liquid cooling circuit (and its contents) while swapping out the pack. That part is non-trivial.

they use dummies as their targets and real people inside the car, instead of the opposite way this guy tried.”

Ooh, Moro is a nice color. I tend towards monochrome with my Audis: Silver (old Ultrasport B6), Dolphin Grey (my favorite color, but I hated the car), Monsoon (wife’s Q5) and Black (my current B7 Avant 6MT), but if I had to pick a color it would be a blue of some sort.

“Look at this rust free example...”

Sadly, that is 100% true.

Despite your sound argument, one correction. The pictured Audi is a 2002 A4 (B6 chassis). Otherwise, what you’re saying seems reasonable.

I mean, this will NEVER happen (because #thinkofthechildren), but a guy can dream...

Interesting. So then that sort of shoots holes in some manufacturers arguments for not bringing special editions or more powerful engine variants here to the US huh? They tend to blame it on certification and testing costs, but in the end, it mostly just cuts into profit margins when they have to build more than one

And thats just the Tradesman trim. There are more engine combos...

3 engines and 3 transmissions. So thats 9 combinations.

So here is my issue. Dodge (I refuse to call them Ram) and presumably Ford and GM as well can make 30 different trim levels with many, MANY different drivetrain combinations and do testing and emissions compliance testing with all of them. Then with a straight face, the European brand marketing wonks (I’m looking at

This take is bad and you should feel bad.

Well, someone sure is sensitive, isn’t he/she?
