Whil the status symbol of this car is a given, plenty of people near me Daily commute with EVs. Seattle is a pretty ideal scenario actually, cheap electricity and slow commutes that aren’t long. My daily 14 mile commute is 30-45 minutes and I get 19mpgs in a 2.0t audi. And electric car would be way more cost

What nonsense is this? Why would the dealer care if a sale is an EV or an ICE? A sale is a sale. And I bet these are going to be pretty high-margin sales.

Seriously, what makes you think people dropping $75k (base price) on a luxury EV crossover care about negotiating? If I’m going to be dropping that much coin on a car I want the options specced how I want and I want to know when its being delivered. Also I don’t want to be gouged way above MSRP. But I’m not going to

Trading a Cayenne GTS in for a Subaru Outback....... My parents retired and moved out to rural-ish Montana, and the Cayenne stuck out like a VERY sore, yuppie thumb, so I GET it, but good god Dad....

ASSUMING, the dealer drivers didn’t abuse the car on that transfer drive. I know plenty of people are responsible, but lets be real, driving a brand new GTI that won’t be your problem? Redline that ish! (bye bye break in period...)

Right? “Someone sat in this car before! Is it still new?!”

Raph with the sensible take? This is strange...

The rear shock mounts look similar to the b5/6/7/8 platform Audis. I would wager the rear suspension is also borrowed from the MLB chassis Audis like the Q5.

Well I just learned something, thanks for the education. I was hinging my argument on the fact that the transmissions were the same and never really thought about all the other stuff, the fact that the 8hp tranny wasn’t even available for a good portion of the Q7 production run, and the fact that there were likely a

This seems a lot like whinging to me. Repairable things is great and all, but what good is it if said item doesn’t NEED to be repaired?

But what is this FWD/RWD nonsense? Most Audis are longitudinal and have FWD variants, the A4 springs to mind, but that doesn’t mean the engine is “way out in front” any more than any other one. Mechanical Quattro runs the main driveshafts off the transmission so therefore the engine HAS to be in front of the axles

As a seahawks fan I HATED Frank Gore. He would tear us up for 200+ yards almost every matchup. That GIF above doesn’t bring back good memories.

The current Q7 is Longitudinal, like every Audi that isn’t an A/Q3. Its based on the MLB platform(the L stands for longitudinal).

Audi’s ValveLift tech is actually the most clear naming ever attempted. And by a German company no less.

Damn thats good! Thanks for sharing.

Thats fine on a new car, you don’t need to worry much about matching the paint. But what about a 8 year old model S?

They do...

“maybe it’s the bodyshops who are all bad”

My old 1.8t A4 went from 170hp stock to 215hp with an APR tune. Thats a 26% increase.

Yea true. My daughter is 3 so I’m in the middle of the bipolar “threens”. I never knew I had such a reserve of patience, but when I lose it I literally have to just walk away, leave the room, whatever.
