Sorta true. Summer tires tend to have a 20-30k wear life. So double that since you have 2 sets and at 10k/year thats 4-6 years. Well within their useable lifespan.

Let us pray it is.
I bet if they hadn’t used their yellow swoosh, they could have skated by, but trademarks have to be defended, unfortunately.
Selling tires for a living =/= expertise in tires.
Inb4 someone complains that there is no Harlequin.
The mk3 Supra was my favorite first car purchase in Gran Turismo. Its always a good buy. Just gotta spend the time grinding the Sunday Cups to get the rare Race Modification to make it a true world beater.
I’m sorry, why does someone bringing in tires upset you?
Thats all valid. I was reading into your comment thinking you meant the aluminum structure was weak, but yea its just ball joints and bushings attached to them that don’t last very long. To me, 100k miles seems like a reasonable lifespan, but i don’t drive a ton of miles and I suppose other makes, generally Japanese…
I also used to own a B6 A4 Ultrasport (weird coincidence!), current B7 A4 Avant owner. I guess the suspensions could be called complex, but frankly its all I’ve known since I’ve been wrenching and its not particularly overwhelming in my eyes. I’m not sure theres anything inherently bad about aluminum components…
WAT?
How is the suspension complex? And B6-era electronics are more or less fine. There are a lot of them, but the parts that fail tend to be cheap and relatively easy to access. Just keep the sunroof drains clear and you won’t have any issues.
I mentioned it, but it didn’t make the cut. :-(
I personally dislike automatics as a general rule, but some of the appeal of a manual is ruined when its connected to a somewhat lazy engine and a fat luxo cruiser. But even then I’d want a manual in an E31.
I literally did a craigslist search for “850csi” about halfway through the article. Only one e31 in my area...its an 840i and its an Automatic....
It does? Then why are there sensors attached to the valve stems inside my wheels? probably because its a direct sensor system.
I had that issue with my Audi. You need to replace the gel pad between the glass and the sensor. Though if your windshield is pockmarked from road debris, it wont fully fix it. Mine used to work like yours, totally schitzophrenic, but I replaced the gel pad and they behaved much better. Recently I had to get the…
Direct TPMS won’t usually tell you the tire because if you rotate your tires it will be wrong.
Saab’s Night Mode. That was so amazing for long roadtrips when you’re driving at night for long stretches.
Hah, damnit I was all ready to dismiss you completely, but if you also hate scoobies you can’t be all bad.
Wat? People with emotional attachments to cars are the problem? And you’re saying this on an enthusiast site? I think you’re in the wrong place, my friend.
