That calculator wasn’t available for months following the tax changes at the beginning of the year. I normally use that and set a proper witholding number but I couldn’t do it this year and just set a basic witholding value (2 I think?).

I partly agree. I just think he needs to focus less on trying to shape external narrative around his companies, Tesla in particular, and focus on making their products, work environment, and public image even better.

He’s creating a ton of really shitty PR for himself and the companies he runs. He often comes off as a bit unhinged. Which is not a good look for the CEO of a number of very high profile companies. He needs a short leash and to stop being so paranoid.

Its a tie between stiffer rear swaybar and a tune (Audi turbos tune well).

I drove an ‘82 633csi with that 3-speed auto transmission for a summer. The car was a basketcase, but I still pine for an e24 or e28. 5-speeds only, of course.

No, but it’ll stem the bleeding he’s creating for his companies when he runs his mouth. He’s a loose cannon. A brilliant businessman, but he’s beginning to be a liability almost as much as he is an asset. If I worked for him it would be fucking stressful as shit wondering what shit storm he created the night before

Boston to Seattle is cross country. Detroit to Denver is only partway. Duh.

Personally, I take anything a NYC official even tangentially related to the T&LC with a huge grain of salt. Uber’s presence in NYC clearly filled an enormous gap in the market that cabs were not fulfilling. Saying that somehow, without Uber, things would be better is willfully ignoring the basic facts of how broken,

Yikes...I think the S4 4.2 is the same way, chains in the back. Which is fine if you never need to replace them.....

Not just the 90s. See:

You know the term “Newspaper” is an anachronistic term and doesn’t actually mean place like the NYDN only sold physical newspapers, right? Right?

Sure, blame the innocent truck driver that was clearly just trying to do the right thing and inform the 9-7x driver that his rear air springs were shot, and you people all just assume he’s at fault? Please...

Biased agains abhorrent bigots? Wat?

“No one who owns a Chiron is driving it.

I’m with you. They’re almost as common around Seattle as the Model S. Which is saying something.

This. I had a mechanically inclined friend drive my car and didn’t get a PPI and the car had a major engine issue that a PPI would have quickly uncovered.

Thats not a terrible idea, even if it is a tad insulting to my manual-loving sensibilities. I’m the type where they’re going to have to rip my manual shifter from my cold dead hands, so I would honestly pay a premium for a manual, were it offered as a $1500 option or something. Not offering one at all (and I mean

Sounds more like the government process for federalizing “the same car with a different transmission” is broken. Buyers for manuals might be rare, but that doesn’t stop them being offered in Europe. The US federalization process incentivizes manufacturers to limit drivetrain options in the name of bureaucratic cost

You say that like you think the dad always has a choice where the kid will tolerate being. Half the time I’m walking home from the playground I have to carry my daughter, despite her possessing two legs in perfect working order. And sometimes I am pushing a stroller too. It’s not a macho thing, its a “trying to keep

Well actually the b6/7 A4 Quattro 6MTs are 02X (except the early b6 3.0s which were 01E). The S4 and RS4 are 0A3. They’re a good bit different I think but I’m not sure how. My old b6 and current b7 both have 02Xs and they’re nice and smooth, not as notchy as the 01Es were, but definitely not as durable when you get
