You can open it up, as I saw someone else posted as well, and re-bend the spring contacts and it should work after that.
The ghost in the sunroof is probably a bad switch. Common issue on A4s where the metal spring contact flattens out and starts causing it to open and close on its own.
If it was a manual, it could just be a dodgy clutch switch. If those go out on VAG cars, the cruise control stops working.
