Read the 12+ comments so far of excheerleaders and Irish dancers in this thread talking about how they did exactly that (got a fake clip in ponytail). Additionally, hairpieces in theatre have to stand up to just as much strenuous activity as a cheerleading routine, sorry. There are musicals ABOUT cheerleading, FFS.

Well, not really. Some people have hair that is easier to put up. Some people have slippery hair and it’s going to fall out all the time. Some people have less hair so it’s less of a weight. Some people have weak hair that’s going to break (so those are the people that are going to have a receding hairline or baby

The whole point is a uniform look. It’s an appearance based sport. It’s a costume. It’s theatre. It’s like the Rockettes. And no, it’s not as inconvenient for everyone in ballet—some people have less hair, some people have more slippery hair, some people have weak hair that will pull out and ruin their hairline and

Yeah, exactly. You chose a performance based sport. If you were a ballerina you’d have migraines and a receding hair line from those fucking tight buns.

Yeah, honestly a lot of my friends who did cheerleading growing up tucked their real hair into a bun and used clip on curls to cover it, because no matter your hair type the expectations are fantastic. (As in, a fantasy) It’s like dance or theatre, it’s a costume. If one of my actors told me “No, I want to wear my

Or sat waiting to hit post for a good hour thinking “oh god are people going to judge me if I say this? Is there too much REAL ME in this??”

True... I suppose I could ask the rapist hiding in the backseat to unlock my car too, if I got locked out. Phew, that’s actually a load off my mind.

The second I slam the door I feel this rush of certainty my keys are on the other side of the door. And even when I’m walking back to open the door or my car, I’m automatically feeling for my keys and positive that they aren’t going to be there. Life is hard.

Absolutely, I’ll admit to doing the “look how much my drivers license has changed” thing I mentioned in my earlier post thing too but I use my finger to cover the bulk of my information and snapchat to black out the rest. Except my weight: it’s gone down by almost 60lbs and everyone needs to see that.

I post nearly everything on my facebook and I would have taken issue with the lingerie, I think... I get mad when someone takes pictures in my room and there’s dirty laundry in the background.

I live in California but I’m pretty sure this is normal. Most people I know that live in nonpermanent housing (apartments or dorms) leave their drivers license address as their parents’ until they own a home or know they will be in their residence long-term.

Oh absolutely. I think it’s one thing if you have a carefully cultivated friendlist and your privacy settings are locked down, and even then it’s a crazy risk. But that said, I think that’s a small percentage of the population. I have people on my facebook I have only met once, I wouldn’t give them my phone number let

That was my first thought too, honestly, especially since if it’s a public post and you’re not friends with the person, if a decent amount of YOUR friends likes or comments on it it can show up in your newsfeed anyway.

One of my younger friends celebrated getting her driver’s license by posting a picture of the whole thing on facebook. The best part? Her default privacy setting is public, and at that point we were acquaintances at best. I messaged her and told her to stop being a fool and take down something that has her complete

Exactly. I’m voting for Hillary for my own reasons but I wasn’t really offended by my friend’s comment, I really just wanted to have a discussion. I wound up telling her who even the fuck Bernie Sanders is, but her general attitude was voting does nothing, therefore why bother.

Leaving work means losing money, basically paying to vote. Why should someone lose money when they can vote for the cost of a stamp? That’s not lazy, that’s just smart.

I think this depends on the state. Here is a snopes message board on the subject and at least in California, regardless on how the vote was cast, all votes received by election day are counted. http://message.snopes.com/showthread.php…

During the midterms I worked from 6am to 2pm at one job and 3pm to 9pm at my other job, which are both 45 minutes away from my home city. I could have made arrangements to vote in the city I was working (I think? I’m not sure how that whole thing works) between 2 and 3, but let me tell you, it was a lot nicer to grab

I had an hour long fight with one of my friends about this, she got all pissed because one of our friends posted pictures in Hillary t-shirts and was going on and on about how “it just makes me think so much less of her!” (because white feminism) and I asked who she was voting for then? No one, that’s who. Fuck that
