I went to an auto parts store, not the one I usually went to, to get a few things to do a tune up on my car (1986 Mustang SVO) and was told by the guy behind the counter that my car, which I drove there and was in the parking lot, didn’t exist. That it was only a concept car and was never built. He was “a huge Mustang

My closest call with running out of gas was on a motorcycle trip with my brother. We were riding through Idaho to check out Craters of the Moon National Park, and also the EBR-1 Museum (Highly recommend EBR-1, it’s pretty awesome). We had looked ahead at lunch and planned out the gas stop for the way back, but when we

The YJ windshield isn’t the easy or quick to fold down. There are two brackets on the inside by the speaker grills that need to be removed and use the stupid torx bits, and then the fwd running bars for the roll bar also attach to the top of the windshield. It is possible, but not a quick process or something that you

How far troops advanced tells very little of the story of D-Day. There were varying levels of resistance from German forces. From “lightly” defended (comparatively) to the worst of the worst at Omaha. Had any single beach not been cleared, it could have doomed the entire operation.

The not for highway use has nothing to do with the speed limit. You’re talking about a car that, on those tires, will do a sub 10 second quarter mile. It’ll go above 45 doing that. The reason they’re not intended for highway use is because of the really soft tread compound. It’ll give you all sorts of grip on a track,

Most rules only require the helmet to be below a line drawn from the front hoop to the main hoop, while being a certain distance below the top of the main hoop. The side bars are not required to be above the driver’s head as far as I know. While I personally would want them above my head, they’re not required to be.

The problem was he didn’t put down enough cones. If he had put down more cones then the people driving to fast for the conditions would have seen him...

I got all excited that there was an SVO as the title picture and figured there would be something about it... No... Really? Come on...

They’re mostly referred to as 2 and a half ton trucks, or deuce and a half referring to the same spec, so calling it a 6 ton truck is either not the best wording, needing to specify it as the curb weight, or wrong. Especially when there are trucks in a similar configuration referred to as “5 ton”.

M35 is a 2 1/2 (hence duece (2) and a half) ton truck, not a 6 ton. There are numerous variants of a 5 ton as well, 800 series and 900 series, but I’m not aware of any 6 ton trucks in a configuration like is pictured.

If you want an example of what happens when motorcycles don’t share the road, here is one. Share the road, don’t ride past your skill level, especially not on the street.

Oh yeah, crossing the line had nothing to do with it. More just a comment about how you have to share the road regardless of what mode of transportation and also how sportbikes aren’t the only ones taking up the entire road. It’s not just bicycles either, there are videos of cars, skateboards, everything crossing the

Tell your bicyclist buddies the same thing. Bicycle or motorcycle, crossing the center line is the same regardless of transportation method.

Late model dirt track cars are not impressed by the little amount of wheel lift

The SVO club of America (SVOCA) had moderators that were ban happy. At one point they decided to clean house and banned an extremely large number of people, who had either modified their cars in a way the mods didn’t like, or disagreed with the mods at some point. This led to many knowledgeable people getting kicked,

2000-ish chevy cavalier? It at least has the ridges.

So not necessarily a horrible or expensive issue, but still entertaining nonetheless. I was still in college at the time in my 1986 Mustang SVO, and one of the classes I was taking for a business minor required a “business” calculator. So despite being an engineering student with quite the collection of calculators, I

I love it when people who have obviously never actually experienced riding a motorcycle try to tell people why they ride. While there are plenty of people who buy bikes and never ride them, they’re not the majority. They’re just the loud, obnoxious, minority making it seem like there are a lot of them. Until you

So one of the cars I own is a 1986 Mustang SVO (hence the username). Being a low production car, sometimes this poses issues when getting parts. So I’m driving the car, and I was looking for a new gasket for the turbo oil return line as it was leaking a little bit, not much, but it annoyed me. I went to the same store

So I own a 1986 Mustang SVO (4 cylinder turbo). These cars are known for having the heater core in them go bad which involves removing the dash, and the center console, and random other parts. Well when I bought my SVO from my brother, it needed the heater core replaced. So I’m going about removing all the bolts, and
