Huh, funny enough you mentioned that
My wife fit her entire room into a two-door Impreza, including an overstuffed armchair. I don’t know about moving, but she, her best friend, and four other girls roadtripped in an Integra.
Every year for 4 years, my Neon sedan schlepped all my crap back and forth as well.
I did many a trip with a completely packed-to-the roof scirocco from Tampa to Tallahassee. I feel you, my dude.
are we long lost twins? I did the same thing through college (and some time after) with my ‘91 Integra. I even managed to get a queen futon bed in the car.
I was moved every year by my mom in her Corolla.
You didn’t even mention all the tech startups that are valued at billions of dollars despite having no clear path to profitability.
This economy is overdue for a correction, and it’s likely to come as a result of inflation and rising interest rates. The subprime auto loan implosion isn’t likely to be as bad as the subprime home loan disaster, but it’s going to be ugly.
Heh, had a 2004 SXT plus, quad cab with 4x4. The two main things listed in this thread are why I got rid of it. Mysterious coolant lead I could not pin down to save my life, and the solenoid packs in the transmission were on their way out. Still miss that truck, but don’t miss 16mpg.
What kind of F1 style-megasoft compound are you using on a street car that turning the tire while stopped is creating any kind of noticeable flat-spot?
Only problem I’ve seen is trying to find a good Roadmaster wagon now days. With the few I’ve come across, the average price is between 15K-20K for one that looks in about as good of a shape as this Caprice.
Ive watched american openwheel and sportscar racing for decades. I have seen and even been to so many shitty street circuits. I was at San Jose folks!
I had it on Dreamcast. I think it’s on PC now?
Good point.
Not only that, it literally was the basis for the entire hotrod movement that got us to where we are today. Tons of great history with the little flathead.
Mad props for this not just being a link to a Youtube video.
Super sad but let me say this. THIS is the reason the auto community needs to come together and be LESS judgmental and MORE welcoming. This idea isn’t “stupid” it’s just that this individual didn’t know what he didn’t know. You can’t just “make up” physics... there are reasons cages are designed the way they are.…
I’ve always been scared to buy a used WRX / STi because I figure they’ve always been beaten. I’d love to own one, though, especially now that I have started to work on my own cars. Remember those guides jalopnik has had in the past on purchasing used cars and what to look out for? A WRX article would be pretty great.
