I haven't! I should.
I haven't! I should.
Yeah, I know about that case. It makes me feel mixed things.
@Greg The Aryan Stiemsma (not going to promote a pink): the fact that something isn't "even close to the worst thing his show has ever said" doesn't mean it shouldn't be critiqued. This blog is about women's issues... so it took issue with the show in that context. Does that solve the big mystery for you?
God knows. I'd want a bottle of vodka and two packs of cigarettes, personally.
I can see that, but predicting that American special forces would get America's most wanted man is not like predicting that the apocalypse is going to happen.
You look fantastic! Have fun tonight!
And it's not just the fact that they go the comfort food route, it's what food they find comforting.
She was working on a fictional project about his death before he was killed? Could you point me in a direction to read about that? (I'm really curious about how she'll make the transition if she now wants to tell the story of a real event, not an imagined event.)
Does anyone else love reading about death row prisoners' last meals? I find it so fascinating - the existential angst it raises, my general interest in food culture, the enormous embedded social commentary (what does it say that so many prisoners find comfort in KFC and root beer?). About a zillion intellectuals have…
But isn't food porn normally great-looking food, either high end or just super tasty? Not macaroni and cheese with an apple.
Why is staring at photographed food so addictive? Even (or maybe especially) pathetic school lunches, with their mandatory attempt to instantiate the food pyramid.
I see that. But what I think the commentariat, taken as a whole, does manage is acknowledging the conflicting pressures we have as, for instance, feminists and women who love fashion. Or feminists and women who love submissive sexual roles. There is a way to talk about being a feminist sub in heels that does not…
I think it has changed. At least among the more vocal commenters. That said, the Wurtzel piece is crap. Yes, she says, "Who can possibly take feminism seriously when it allows everything, as long as women choose it?" — but then she fails to mention that most feminists did not come down on the Ann Romney side, they…
I have zero tolerance for "I choose my choice" feminism, and I don't think the Jez commentariat is a bastion of that. Not anymore, anyway.
Could you link to that? I'd like to read it.
That article is puzzling. She's being deliberately incendiary by means of (1) conflating all stay-at-home mothers with rich ones; and (2) attacking a straw man, the idea that every choice is a feminist choice if a woman chooses it, even though that's an idea that most feminists reject.
Thanks for sharing, bro.
THE YOUNG LADY THOUGHT ABOUT MAKING THIS LASTING IMPRESSION VAGINA FIRST
Those guys are smiling, non-threatening, hot as hell, acting like idiots, half undressed, and about a decade younger than I am. And I couldn't stop watching.
I agree with you. If ejaculation has always been correlated with orgasm, and highly sexualized, it would be awful to do without. I'm a woman, and it's not something I would willingly do without, and it's not even my body, but his.
