Car culture in Orange County is great, or at least attracts a lot of it. I loved living there, not the prices. Now I have a house I could only have dreamed about for less than my rent payment, north of Tucson (PHX). Still fun to visit family at the beach though..... and there are some cool cars in these parts too.

That section of highway you speak of is THE WORST. I’ve driven my share of western mountain routs through all kinds of weather conditions, but that section of the 17 north of Phoenix is just plain dumb, people are dumb, old farts in the fast lane, nobody giving a crap, the list goes on. I just sold my ES300 with 360K miles.....new owner continues to text me he replaced struts, ball joints, control arms etc. and runs like a new car. I just didn’t have the time/$ to replace it all in my garage. That V6 was still smooth as butter and had ZERO issues (car was in my family it’s whole life)
