No, we are not sure that he raped her. That's just my cynical theory. But it seems like he was aroused by the fact that she fought back more than he expected, noting that maybe the company upped her resistance to assault in her programming.

POSSIBLE SPOILER?

The other theory is that he was in the park 30 years ago when The Incident happened (which is looking like most of the guests were murdered by the hosts). As part of the settlement by the company, MIB was given a monthly pass every year for life.

Agreed. But why are child hosts and child guests even allowed in WW? From the series and in-universe point of view, it would be understandable if both were banned from the park.

Because he gets his jollies off when she fights back?

You may be thinking that the first movie was based on a Crichton novel. There was no novel. Crichton wrote it first as a screenplay and directed it.

I think it's a cool theory, and Nolan did in fact write Memento with his brother, which messes around with time continuity.

Regarding the $40,000 per day figure:

I'd like to see a flashback to the park v. 1.0 with that Wild Bill robot and other robots that move like him. It would be creepy as fuck!

Maybe there are male hosts "working" at the brothel. They could be dressed as rugged, handsome cowboys. Teddy perhaps. No joke.

William may not even have been interested in the side quest anyway. He could have just been polite to the host.

Based on these two episodes, I think the default script for Dolores and Teddy runs like this (if no humans interact with them):

He said he has someone (gender neutral). It could be the truth, it could be a lie. If it is the truth, there could be more to that, what that means.

Maybe this could be the point. The saloon whorebots could be older models and just do not engage as well with the guests compared with a newer model (assuming that the welcome host was a robot and newer model).

I was saying that after the first episode. I envision in his real life, MIB is a more pathetic and evil version of John Locke (his life before the island). Many are assuming that MIB in real life is rich and or powerful, but I'm thinking he's not. Just an office worker loser, who hates his real life.

Yeah, the park intentionally seems devised to appeal to men in a world where male aggressiveness could be looked down upon, or not a common behavior in everyday society. This is a perfect and relevant topic for a science fiction drama like this to explore.

Or, maybe that woman guest was in fact lesbian, but simply was not comfortable with a woman host being that aggressive. As part of the sign-up process, the park administrators may ask guests about their sexual preferences. Since this is set in the far-off future, it's probably not a big issue if you're gay or bi, or

I understand your points, but two things:

I don't think William is gay. This series is clearly set in the future, a rather far-off future I think, and William's coworker is obviously bi. Being gay at this point in the future is probably no big friggin whoop.

I'm assuming for now William is on a required retreat that's paid for by his and his coworker's company. That's what it "feels" like — maybe this will be confirmed soon.
