And in fairness, that seat was required by law to go to a Republican. Try finding one that isn’t a corporate lackey.

This is the kind of thing that would get blocked, or at least delayed, if we had a functional federal government.

Agreed. What puts me off about Bojack at this point isn’t what’s going on with Bojack, it’s the utterly needless, arbitrarily cruel treatment of Carolyn this last season.

No, I would not support a regressive tax that will make it harder for the poor to get adequate nutrition in the midst of some of the worst wealth disparity we’ve seen since the gilded age.

It’s not going to hit them. Moore’s about the be elected to the senate even as Franken steps down.

Yeah, Franken needed to go but Republicans have found a silver bullet, a way to get the left to reliably eat its own and feel morally superior while doing it. You can bet they’ll make use of it at every opportunity, since R’s are really only interested in the consolidation and exercise of power at this point anyway.

It puts his seat up for the 2018 election when it wasn’t before. It’s one more seat Demos can lose, as a result.

He hasn’t had that much of an impact - yet.

Agreed. I enjoyed the first book, but thought the original film was a severely dumbed-down adaptation full of annoying characters (the kids, who aren’t that great in the book, somehow get worse in the movie) that made the baffling decision to include the beginnings of several stories from the book but not bother to

Nope. I even cited sources (which in turn cite more sources). The usage in the headline simply is not wrong.

Seriously, just stop. Not only is it pointless pedantry, it’s not even supported by historical usage.

New Girl and Enterprise were the first things that sprang to mind, glad to see them both represented here.

Done. I’ve been right on the verge for ages, but this pattern of empowering abusers while silencing their victims is the absolute limit.

As an organization Girls Scouts is vastly better. They lack the religious hangups, and the corresponding bigotry, for one thing.

My thought exactly. Most of my “background streaming” shows - the stuff I leave on when I’m working, like 30 Rock - have migrated to Hulu. The result is that I only watch Netflix when something original crops up that I want to see, and this doesn’t happen remotely often enough to justify an increased monthly charge.

Actually a significant number of comments here seem to agree with my take: fun story, but a visual trainwreck. I just stopped looking at the screen after the first ten minutes, the continual parade of distracting and ugly was ruining my enjoyment of a pretty funny episode.

It was a funny episode but the animation changes went from distracting to obnoxious fairly quickly, and most of the art was just unpleasant. I ultimately found I enjoyed the episode more if I just didn’t look at the screen.

That’s some serious clickbait.

It’s a shame it won’t be staying on television. If this was going to be on CBS I’d watch it. Since it’s going to be on their paid streaming service, it’ll be dead in a season (maybe less).

Exactly right, this really did come off as nihilism for the sake of nihilism. Not only was it out of character for PC, it was out of character for the show itself. My faith in the writers is actually rattled as a result of this, and the fact that nothing was done to address or resolve it in the remaining episodes of
