Unfortunately military service in many countries will always be required until we get down to one country with a military. When the machines become self aware, we’ll wish we still had our militaries however useless they’ll be.

It really is complimentary because it represents the impossible hope we need. I’ve been in the military for 25 years. Most people see the military as guns and bullets but in reality we’re a very well funded extension of the State Department.
