This photo immediately makes me think of a certain fan-made video on YouTube for Coldplay's "Politik." (Great video.)

It's odd to me when fads and/or lingo that stem from narrow slices of the larger African-American culture are described as "black culture," full stop.

I'm still not sure exactly what the hell "ratchet" means in this context, and I'm confident that more than a few of my fellow African-Americans would say the same.
