Yes, I did, and it did. When the poster is obviously incapable of rational thought, rationality will not work. Of course, a good argument can still sway a third party, so it is not useless to argue. But I’ve seen so many threads where people engage a poster that argues in bad faith, and it just goes into a downward…

This problem has been solved in several military gas masks already, with a special fluid container with a kind of straw with covered opening, that interfaces with a special opening in the mask, that allows for fluid intake without breaking seal.
