It depends on what one gets from Facebook. Personally, I could still stay in touch with all close friends of course by other means. Email, sms, phonecalls etc, i.e. direct contact, and direct Fb chat is what I usually use today with those close friends. So no loss there, except maybe a small level of convenience.
