Yeah, this is one of those places where I don't use the "eject" feature if I'm a fighter pilot.

Pat Hespen rocked; I can't believe he's gone, and what a sad day for Gina, Pat's family, and the people privileged enough to work with him. In 2008, he (along with Alan Hall) invited me to my first-ever press launch, the GT500 KR in Utah. We destroyed 6 sets of tires and a portion of the front straight a Miller

Still a fat, commercialized, beer-gutted/double-chinned, ugly, oversized shadow of it's former self. And i don't blame GM for that, it's likely all the regulations that did it. But this whole high-waist/low visibility thing that Chevy and Dodge do with their "retro muscle" cars ala the Camaro and Challenger is

Attrition goes a long way.

Headlights below the grille with running lights/turn signals above! It confuses me as I know where the headlights are but my brain wants to think they are fog lights because they are below the grille.

LEDs on regular people cars are pretty bad. Not that I don't think regular people should enjoy LEDs, it's just that the Fords, Toyotas, and Nissans of the world aren't buying the thin, laser-looking LEDs that Audi uses. Instead, they're basically putting Christmas lights on the front of the car.

The ultimate expression of this engineering design ethis was the Grumman AA1-B 'Yankee'. The wings were symmetrical, and could be mounted on either side, the ailerons, flaps, elevators, and rudder were interchangable, as were both horizontal and vertical rear stabilizers. The landing gear legs and mounts were

TVR was the best about getting away from the "mouth and eyes" design aesthetic.

I actually prefer dual exhausts even in situations like this. I utterly hate asymmetry.

Counterpoint: the lack of body lines

Electric cars with stupid blanked out intake grills. Just own the fact that your car doesn't breathe much air and create some new design language.

Unnecessary badging. Just put something on the back telling me what it is, that's enough.

Pointlessly complicated headlights

Headlights instead of fenders

I realize it is not a styling element, but the plastic sensor in the new Mercedes S Class grille drives me nuts.

Dood, good call on the 90's side vents. I never put that together.

Sorry I can't be more specific. Everything about this damn thing is annoying:

Body lines!

Dual Exhausts on everything. #becauseracecar In a time when weight savings is a huge goal, how do automakers continuously think having that extra 20lb muffler is a good idea?

Fake vents and scoops.
