Hmm...did the speech of either the owner, or the stranger, include the cat’s name, or nicknames like Kitty, or Fuzzface, or other nicknames that a cat might recognize? Personally I would imagine that addressing my cat as Kitty, or Cat or Diz, from any human might just draw her curiosity. But I do think it’s likely

Is there any way to get a stove not to leak? Is this leakage a normal part of the gas emerging and burning, like a lack of efficiency in the stove designs? I know most people live in cities, but in rural areas it’s extremely common for homes to have propane appliances instead of natural gas. Many areas could become

Um. I’m predicting that poorer homeowners and landlords will sell properties, rather than undertake the costs incurred in safety efforts. Hope that law includes some kind of disclosure regs so prospective buyers realize why a house was sold. With luck some kind of lien can be enacted so that a house can't be occupied

Great. With more water, California will build more houses, for more people, in what they refuse to admit is essentially a desert. Overpopulation will continue this indefinitely. The removed/reintroduced brine will kill any ocean life that survives the runoff, boat strikes, and trash from masses of beach residents and

Whenever I could, I shopped in a Stater Brothers in SoCal. Great stores, decent prices.

Could this mean that fingerprinting will become meaningless at some future point?

I read that hearing loss has been linked to quicker advancement of some kinds of dementia. Hearing matters. Keeping connections to the people around you matters, and hearing loss makes it more difficult.

Rail disrupts ground travel and activities so much. I wish there was more discussion around elevated monorail systems. As far as I can see, it should even be possible for wildlife in remote areas to cross under a monorail track without too much difficulty; people and wheeled transport could surely pass by without

Wasn’t there a teenager who got his legs attacked by this sort of creature while surfing on the West Coast of the USA? Took a while to arrive at the possibility of an attack by isopods, I think; it was even a question of whether he might not have scraped up his own legs in some weird bid for fame, because the injuries

When I first heard this, I thought it was workable. But it wouldn't make any long term difference in saving Mead; Powell is not holding enough water to rescue Mead. Although it would be interesting to see Glen Canyon redevelop as a riparian habitat. Probably a better reason to breach its dam than saving Lake Mead.

Those ceiling tiles are great. They’re plastic, lightweight, cut simply with razor knife or scissors, and come in a range of colors, or as mentioned can be painted the color you want. We did the ceiling of a room in these, and it's eye-popping. Ordered ours from Amazon, very simple and not horribly expensive.

Maybe he could set it up in Google Pay.

I remember hearing about the possibility of tire pollution many, many years ago. The question then was, we’re wearing out X many tires a year, what happens to all that tire dust? At that time the technology of the day couldn’t detect the amazingly tiny dust particles in air well enough to capture and analyze them. I

Yup, escaped CA for a better state and colder climate. They often simply close roads for hours when it’s snowy/windy enough here, so allow me to recommend: some kind of canned food source, or granola type bars if you have the discipline to replace them a couple of times a year.  Also, some kind of portable urine

Here’s one for you: sewage plant! Hmm, how to handle the output of a million colonists when there’s not even enough water to drink?? Think Musk has ever toured a sewage plant here on Earth? Mars is not the setting to devise a working system that would maintain human health requirements. Next: what if nobody desirable

What the heck would be done with the salts and chemicals removed by desalinization??? Dump it all on Washington D.C.?

My 2009 Hummer H3 got consistently better MPG than the 2009 Nissan Xterra that it replaced. Loved that H3.

Pleeease, now can you convince the masses that there is no such word as "predominately"?

Like he's in the habit of listening to what people tell him.

What could possibly go wrong?
