No. Please do not encourage this. In cars that aren't made for HID's the beam pattern gets really messed up and creates lots of glare for oncoming drivers. Even for cars that are made for HID I personally hate the color and find it blinding at night.

That would make sense but they are making tiny windows and still making massive pillars. I think it is more a design decision because there are still a few cars with large windows and small pillars.

Why do auto manufacturer insist on raising the window line with seemingly every update. The chopped look only looks good on some cars. So what they are doing is killing visibility. This in turn is reducing the awareness of already distracted drivers.
