We have three new movies and an upcoming TV show starting next year-what more do fans like you want or need?

The delay of the show seems to point the idea in the other direction of it not being a rush job.

Said set-up at least will be free of network interference in telling stories (although CBS will probably let what happened with the last two shows to happen with this one story and character-wise.)

Why? It already did that with Deep Space Nine. And if they made it as a ‘Battlestar Galactica-inspired take, a la Stargate Universe‘ then said fans would be saying that the show’s too depressing.

All of the past shows are on DVD and Blu-Ray, and are also on Netflix-what’s your big deal?

I understand how you feel, but this is a flawed (and stupid) episode.

You were (and are) right.

But Terry, CBS/Paramount are happy with the way the franchise is-it’s just the whiny miserable perpetually poutraged fans that aren’t. They’re happy with the profits as it is.

And although I’ve maintained that the reboots aren’t necessarily bad movies, just bad Trek movies

Paramount and CBS does give a damn, it’s people like you who give way, way, way too much of a damn for your own good, as if it’s some kind of religion when it isn’t.
