Cool video, but that is not how grey importing works. What they are talking about is just rebadging. The simplified definition of Grey Importing is if you import a model into a market where it was not intended to be sold. Applied to all goods including cars, electronics, home appliances, etc.

In-law’s have a 2005 Nissan Quest I was working on.  Basically a Maxima engine and transmission.  Too bad some of the minivan extensions (like frame rails) make it harder to work on certain sections of a powerplant meant to be in a midsize. 

I love reading Wiki articles detailing a model’s progression to see how long they can keep the old architecture going.
