I’m guessing vodka distillery.

Andrew — sorry to hear about the accident -- certainly sounds terrible. It’s good to have you back!
996 was a bit lighter than the 993, which seemed hard to believe at the time. And, they’re always faster than the one they replace — can’t fault them for that, either.
Sure... I tried to make the point that I thought that was a good idea. The cayman is a great platform and would be amazing if they really let it loose.
This is the worst take.
That’s sort of an improvement... It’s out of balance without the rear, though. Give the cayman the 911 nose and the 911 rear and I think you’ve got a winner.
In this case, the big turbo probably helped a little in terms of giving you a more gentle power delivery — gentle until it was spooled up, at least. But at least it wouldn’t come in right at full beans out of every turn.
There’s no getting around the turbos. The current AMGs have the same sound. Not what I’m looking for in a Lamborghini -- I’ll take my imaginary Lambo with a V-12, thanks.
At least there was porn in the old days
Nope
I think the 997.2 is my favorite looking of the water-coolers at the moment, too.
I’m really liking the 997.2 as the sweet spot right now, looks wise on the water cooled 911s. The 991 is a better driving car, though. Leaving aside how you feel about the looks, the 911's have always improved with each new generation in terms of performance. As much as people love to hate it, the 996 was lighter…
It’s more interesting to me just because of how niche it is. I have a hard time understanding how a little start up like Rimac gets off the ground. I’m not surprised that the new Civic gets a ton of resources behind it, but this thing is another story. Not that 7,000 cores is that big of a system these days --…
Should hire some of those Subaru engineers
Needed somewhere to put that scoop
No one? OK.
It definitely seems to be getting worse. 8 of the top 20 most destructive California wildfires by structures happened since 2015. It’s only 5 of 20 for most area burned, but that’s still pretty heavily biased towards recent years given the records go back over 100 years and the firefighting effort is pretty heavy…
Dangerous, but great sphincter exercise.
I definitely see the appeal of rally-cross for drivers. Lots of fun, and a lot fewer trees (rocks, cliffs, faulty guardrails etc) in the way. The danger in road rallying is no joke. Also, obviously, the hay bale is a pretty half-assed bit of safety gear despite the fact that it was better than nothing in this case.
The linked report shows 289,000 crossings *per day*, so more like 2 million crossings per week.
