I’ve definitely ridden in that uber.
Unfortunately, the F1 cars seem to be more than a second faster this year than last — good chance that record won’t make it past qualifying. The Porsche fanboy in me is glad they’re doing it, though!
Yeah, that was interesting. After throwing the wheel back into the cockpit, he was walking back all bowed up ready for a fight. His body language noticeably softened, though, as he got close enough to see the aftermath. He’s not terribly expressive, but you could see it affected him.
It’s amazing how quickly it creates that old school look.

I think it was 66 horsepower in total to get to that impressive 0-60 number.
It’s pretty amazing, though, how fast they went from Wright brothers to airlines showing movies. By comparison very little changes in commercial aviation over a 22 year span these days.

It’s a good point though. I’m definitely not an electrical engineer. I’ve thought about doing an electric car project for years (1970 Trans Am, maybe?), but I’m definitely afraid of electrocuting myself in the construction / testing phase.
The Rav-4 was just tired of getting beaten up by the Camry.

This happened to a buddy of mine when his dad was teaching him to drive a stick in a Honda Civic. He started out in the street and somehow panicked and matted the gas instead of the break, veered sideways over the curb and headed across the yard — at full throttle! His dad, acting out of instinct, probably, grabbed…
