Great handling and plenty of pep, but ultimately the lack of radiator fans made it a bit impractical for the stop and go traffic that my commute entails.

Now is the time on Sprockets when we dance.

I’ve got to call out Marshall Pruett as a real asset for American race fans. He’s a great journalist, but he’s clearly a really big race fan at heart. His knowledge and enthusiasm really combine to generate some great reporting.

There were multiple flags on the play.

Zanardi is the best... I’m really looking forward to seeing him at Daytona. BMW deserve some credit here, too — what a cool program.

Yeah, it’s a little droopy. I think it’s a nice looking car overall, though.

I’m trying to say fast back. My autocorrect keeps changing it.

I guess the distinction is that that CLA is a “coupe” — maybe this will be less of a fastback. (using quotes because I feel like coupes should be two doors)

Title photo should have included a tumbleweed blowing by.

As you well know, Kristen, it’s not just the bullet-proof glass that’s important. The world is full of poor people and even bullet-proof glass lets their grim countenance shine through. No, it’s the curtains that really say “Let them eat cake” in a way that no mere armored car can do.

A *giant* Altima coupe, too. Yikes.

Ha... When I got my ‘96 GTI I wish they sold the 4 door here! Forbidden fruit always looks sweeter.

Yes, but only the sub-segment that shuns reliable engines. It’s a bold move.

Any snark was just because I feel it’s a bit unrealistic — but it’s definitely what I want to see.

That’s pretty crazy.

I’m not sure I get what you mean. These exhaust gasses are just, let’s say, CO2 and water but are so hot that they are glowing — rather than being unburnt fuel that’s actually on fire?

Have at it, boys!

I did like last year (I think) when Lewis installed like 7 engines in one weekend and just maxed out the grid penalty — but had use of all the engines for the rest of the year. (Yeah, I know it probably wasn’t 7, but it was *several*)

The restatement from gross to net horsepower also overlapped with a few years of real diminished power as engine compression and ignition advance were reduced to use lower grades of (unleaded) fuel, add catalytic converters, etc. The power drop into the 70's was definitely not just on paper. It was a sad, dark

Structural rebar in anything other than reinforced concrete is always a bad sign in my book.
