can we take a moment to appreciate how far lactose-free products have come in just the last 5 years? i’ve been buying Lactaid whole milk for a while now and using it in cooking/baking and sipping it ice cold alongside an occassional box of Oreos and man, it is awesome

It’s a bit more complicated, but it’s possible. depending on what you’re cooking, resting after grilling will lead to some drippings and jus that you can work with. The flavor of the beef won’t be as intense from the steak, and you won’t have any crispy bits to deglaze but you can still make a basic pan sauce.

If I had to guess, it’s lack of sterile environment. Alcoholic beverages are NOT sterile, as pretty much everyone from ages 15-25 would have you believe. Adding decomposing fruit, vegetable or plant matter to a warm, sealed environment in direct sunlight.. you may as well call your drink “the petri dish”.
