I used to sell computers and electronics so I have a slew of tech fail stories. These are but a few that happened to me.

Mr. Plunkett, just a minor FYI. They are no longer The Fullbright Company. Sometime about a month ago they changed their name to just Fullbright.

Yeah, I have to admit I didn't realize Adobe subscription plans were so reasonable. Time for me to upgrade from CS5.

It already is. There are a slew of 3d printers that use UV cured liquid resin. The Form 1 is probably the most well known. Check it out at Formlabs.

Is this life imitating art or the other way around?

Still hope she brings some of her more esoteric skills to the show.

Yep, you hit the nail on the head. In retail speak it's called sales $ per square foot, or for shelf space $ per linear foot. That's why RS went to the parts bin drawers. It packs in more for the same space. Most modern electronics are getting away from those parts though. All but the simplest IC's, and big things

That happens to me at almost every tech shop I go to:

Good try, but I've worked retail. Parts like that have about a 90-95% margin. In bulk the same connectors go for 15 cents each. My step-brother owned a cable system building company at the time so we were quite aware of the costs. The RG6 coax connectors that he used that were specialty items were only 85 cent a

The moment that I knew Radio Shack was ultimately doomed? It goes something like this:

OK. Technically not an Easter Egg, but I think it's still funny as well as being a bit of internet history.

Cute - but you drop from about 60k combinations to under 350. It makes brute force cracking practical especially as eyeballing one of the pictures is a heck of a lot easier than a number. If you only knew the end picture that would reduce the number of possibles to 56. That is trivial to crack.

You know that I wouldn't have enough stars to give you even if I tore down the Heavens.

I have a much more pedestrian explanation.

I very nearly had a turkey fry Apocalypse happen to me about a decade ago. I didn't calibrate the thermometer so I kept heating the oil to get it hot enough. When I pulled off the lid the oil auto ignited. Luckily the oil didn't boil over so while I had 10 foot flames I didn't have a fireball of boiling oil.

I've heard of a tiger shark, a lemon shark, and even a goblin shark. I've never heard of a bat shark.

*Disclaimer 1- My uncle plays the lottery consistently but only about $2 a week. He considers it to be a voluntary taxation and a chance to win. I think $100 a year is reasonable.

I think Apple has seen the Surface as a true evolution of the tablet form factor and as competition. Everyone jokes about the new iPad Pro that is supposedly in development as just being a bigger iPad. I think that Apple is actually developing an OSX tablet. If they can get it right, including a good detachable
