I have a feeling that it has something to do with the 2020 WEC prototype regs. From Sportscar365.com
Went to a Bruins game and an Eagles game broke out
This is a list of bloggers; who are not really good writers, contrary to what you might think. These are people who make you stop and wonder, Hm, are they just lazy?
That’s a nice looking Mustang
Engine note is the only reason you need to buy this car over everything. Except maybe an LFA.
I was watching the F1 TV feed which had the audio of Brundle/Evans in the tunnel, but video of the world feed. I couldn’t get past his voice to attempt comprehension as to what he was saying. I’d prefer Chris Harris be the only presenter, or add Guy Martin.
Shouty McShoutypants (Chris Evans) was a spectactical failure on Top Gear. So they hire double the amount of loud obnoxious presenters. That trailer was more disappointing than a soggy diaper.
It’s a manual transmission, possibly with a quickshifter installed. If it were DCT, he wouldn’t be rolling out of the throttle on upshifts.
The Ursa Minor kit for this is about $7,000 installed, and I’ve found a local 5-speed element with half the miles for $4,500 = CP
We rented a manual Nissan Micra for $55 per day when we were in Costa Rica a couple of weeks ago. No off-roading, but it handled the hills around Jaco and Herradura admirably. Also, $15 in gas for the whole weekend.
I agree, scooters are our preferred mode of transport as well. If we could get our Suzuki Burgman 650 shipped over we’d be set.
It’s ok for what it is. It’s somewhere between a replica of a Tuareg and a replica of an X5 as far as interior, but with less power. It’s in a garage in Taoyuan most of the time as we’re only there for a month or so each year. There’s a small shop near the bullet train station in Taoyuan that rents sportbikes we hit…
No one drives one because it was a terrible idea and a company known for terrible ideas decided it was a terrible idea.
I’m not saying it’s not an amazing car, just don’t expect to work on a regular basis.
Why else would you buy one? If you don’t mind rebuilding the engine every 2,000 miles, I’m sure it would be fine.
An Alfa engine with 135 hp/liter in 1971? Um... no
