Word to the wise in reference to my last comment. The Google Sky implementation seems pretty robust if harder to use. The latest version of Stellarium, by contrast, is buggy as all hell, at least on mac.

I thought it a little hard to use. Stellarium is currently a better option to use (and cross platform) though I'm sure Goog will revamp the implementation shortly.
