God, I hate this so much. Cap is my absolute favorite Marvel hero, has been since I was about 8 (and I am really old, you guys). Jack Kirby is a personal hero and god DAMN when I see these literal fucking traitors dressing up like they think they’re superheroes (let alone this particular superhero) makes me want to...

Does Michael Chiklis age?

Oh, I love Danson’s power move too, but — jeez, he and Mary Steenbergen are long-established LA residents and I think they just prefer being at home. There’s a lovely episode of The Good Place podcast where Danson is asked “what’s good” and he chats about what a nice morning he’s had, and that the grandchildren are

No one needs an excuse for more Ted Danson. The show looks a tad pedestrian, especially compared to the wonder that was The Good Place.  But he is always, always good - effortlessly charming and human even when he plays a demon.  Or a politician.

I never liked the Chuck Norris show, and don’t think I’ll like this one. Too much wooden acting in the former, too much moping in the latter. Kind of a shame because a show about the Texas Rangers could be cool.

I’m old enough to have read the Kree-Skrull War when it came out in the monthly Avengers comic, and still remember the revelation that Wanda and Vision were in love. It was remarked on mockingly by Ronan as I recall.

Great! For years I always needed to find separate examples as to why Clapton and Morrison are fucking assholes. Now, I just need to point to this one story!

Oh, I’ll watch the holy hell out of this. Jackson does know his way around documentary footage, judging by They Shall Not Grow Old.

If he cuts it down to one kangaroo, though....

I didn’t like the new Magnificent Seven much - mostly because it was unnecessary. But Denzel was very good in it as he’s very good in everything. I have seen him in worse movies than M7 - but I have never seen him put in a bad or even lazy performance.

I don’t know how they’ll do Black Panther 2, although... I think whatever they come up with will be good. Letitia Wright is great as Shuri and, before Boseman died, I was pretty sure that would be the plot of the movie - T’Challa passing the mantle on to her. But I don’t know how the MCU people will handle it.

I just did a rewatch of The New Girl, and boy, Megan Fox is so much better an actress than I assumed. I mean, she’s not Meryl Streep, but has good comic timing and -on New Girl- a real sense of her character.

Aww, I was hoping for an adaptation of Browne’s other strip, “Hi and Lois”!

This is one of the few remakes I like - it doesn’t take away anything from the original, and doesn’t merely bring the story into the post 9/11 era. Denzel is fantastic; it’s interesting to see him vulnerable and confused. Schreiber is great, and Meryl Streep is fucking perfect. Oh, I also like the way they worked

Count me as one of the 14 people - I had never heard of There’s Johnny, although I’ve liked Paul Reiser since Diner. And I just looked at the Peacock thing and will definitely check that out. Tony Danza looks exactly like Freddie Cordova, which is a very odd thing. Or not.

I know people think it’s an objective thing, but no - he was in fact the best Bond. That’s just science!

Thought at first to get on here and rave about The Man Who Would Be King, The Wind and The Lion, and Robin and Marian... which, you know, are all great and all rave-able.

I haven’t seen the Sorkin thing yet, but he was so, so good in that small role as the station guard in Hugo.

A cursory web search doesn’t turn this up, but - I’m nearly positive that Harlan Ellison claimed to have met B. Traven during some story assignment or something.

Gonna go ahead and disagree with the grade here - A- at the very least. Sudeikis (who is fine, but whom I’ve never really warmed to) threads a careful line here, aided by some great writing. Ted KNOWS that a most people think he’s a wanker - and it’s not that he doesn’t care or that his feelings aren’t hurt - he just
