When someone’s been in the music business that long, with so many labels and not a few unauthorized releases (I don’t mean just bootlegs, I mean “legitimate” record companies who put out collections without permission)... yeah, it’s hard to be accurate.

I’m too lazy to look it up, but a few years ago Willie and some of his pals were pulled over (maybe driving a tour bus, not sure) and busted for possession.  I’m sure they just paid a fine or whatever, but my favorite part of the story is that Willie, at 75 or 80, was not the oldest guy caught up in the bust.

I’ve proposed this before, so you know it’s true:  It’s not the rat from The Departed - it’s Splinter from TMNT. He knew exactly what he was doing.

how can this guy be popular looking like that?

Selfie is on Hulu

It’s a fine casting choice. I just don’t like rock biopics.

Adam Ant was in a 1986 movie called Nomads.  He didn’t have any lines, he was just a creepy presence.  It was a horror movie of sorts, directed by John McTiernan and starring Pierce Brosnan as a French archaeologist in Los Angeles.  I’m probably not the only person to have seen it; I might be the only person who liked

John Cho should be the lead in more movies, but he also should still be co-starring with Karen Gillan on Selfie

“With the shape I’m in you could donate my body to science fiction!”

Oh, I loved the Sean Howe book! It’s fun to have confirmed all the weirdness of Marvel’s creative decisions. Like, oh, Kung Fu movies are popular, lets put out a Kung Fu book. Or - hey, this disco craze is never going away, how ‘bout a disco queen superhero?

The Armageddon Rag, written in the early 80s by some guy named George R.R. Martin

re-listening to Michael McDowell’s Blackwater, read by Matt Godrey, which I consider to be the best audiobook I’ve ever heard.

A prequel to the books isn’t a bad idea really. Throughout the books (not the movie) there are indications of the historical progression that led to the games. If Collins can pull it off, and she probably can, more power to her.

once slept with Marlon Brando. Surely, that’s worth mentioning, too!

If screenwriters can turn a book like The Martian into a great movie

The reason there’s no US story is that our cops generally just shoot suspects and then plant weapons or drugs on them. It’s a confession, but not enough nuance for three episodes.

The Mr. Mercedes sequels were excellent. At least, in my opinion

I love Roger Zelazny, so I’m sure I’ve read that story. But I don’t remember it that well. To the bookshelf!  (And library after if it’s not in my collection...)

i just want an adaptation of the silver chair

David F. Walker writing more excellent Shaft comics and novels, and gets the rest of the old novels put back in print...
