They’ve apparently sold 100 of these, 40 in the Netherlands alone. It was on tv a few weeks ago because they’ve nearly completed road certification and are testing on public roads now. The hard part is the certification, building the thing is not the problem according to the owner.

To be honest, the virtual racing was more exiting then this actual season will be. I could do without these races, and I've been an f1 fan for 35 years.

If it drives for 10 minutes, there is no reason your 'friend' can't come and pick up the Disco right away. If he/she doesn't, I would drive it straight to the junkyard too. 

I don't get how that works. What if you crash into someone, how does he get paid? In the Netherlands its just not possible to own a car without insurance, you'll get a letter in a week and a fine so high its just not an option. I hope they survive. Its kind of fun to have all these different types of bikers to me. Choosing a bike is much more personal and less rational than a car. If you’re still feeling insecure about buying a an RC car, I just got back from the beach surfing and there was an huge guy playing with an RC boat completely in the nude. It was so awkward everybody was pretending he was not there, so that can be a good tactic too. 

The badge is actually $36 on ebay. Alpina’s are cool, but I agree that buying one to drive it does not make sense. But I saw a 1985 B7 for 100K a while ago so as an investment it might not be such a bad idea if you have the money. As a daily driver I would probably buy one a bit more modern, they still look pretty good…

You dont know what i can afford or not, but thats not my point. It’s my planet too, so im not a fan of useless airplane travel.
