Not understanding what your own site does can be a recurring problem.

People use FB for feeds of their friends, not “enagement” by algorithm. People read Twits for short info, not for parsing thru ads. People read Deadspin for insightful tangents and the wild commentariat.

If you expect people to do something different…

Its interesting, for some reason they feel like deadspin being just another generic sports blog is going to keep it alive.

I think Deadspin was the top trending thing last night? I don't know if that was just me or everyone, but it was a bit like watching a mountain on fire. Sad but beautiful.
