seriously, the ublock origin chrome extension has done miracles.   it took me about 2 hours of tinkering to set up, but now the site loads like it did 4 years ago. and no auto play video’s.

Google is actively removing proper adblock extensions from Chrome.  I don’t see any ads on firefox with ublock origin and privacy badger, but I have it set up to be pretty merciless.

I’ve had jobs where I knew I was being underpaid, and I learned to work down to expectations. Going above and beyond didn’t net me any more pay and just resulted in the bar being higher going forward; it was a good way to end up doing the work of two people for one person’s paycheck.
