Which is the M.O. for just about any internet “sales” person I’ve ever dealt with. Their one and only performance metric is getting you physically in the door by any means necessary. Screw dealerships.

...do they still give you a giant ass coin?
There’s only so many parking lot burnouts you can do before you have to make a Costco run...
Unfortunately, the take rate on their tacos (even flour) seems to be very low. It’s my wife’s go-to order, and more than a few times the person at the tortilla/bowl station has been very confused when she asks for them.
That’s literally what he’s comparing it to, their “existing steak offering.” He just didn’t call it barbacoa, which a surprising number of people seem to have trouble pronouncing and just say “steak” when they’re at the counter.
I thought that’s what these are for.
Well, again, unless something is established in law as a right or entitlement (safe working environment, ADA accessibility, etc.), I believe the term “deserve” is meaningless in the private sector. They “deserve” whatever they can legally and ethically negotiate from their employer.
I agree with you, I really do, but that’s not my underlying argument. Fair or not, healthcare for the majority of Americans is employment benefit, not an entitlement (I don’t agree with that, but it is what it is for now). You can replace “healthcare” with “paid vacation” or “coffee in the break room”—it doesn’t…
I see where you’re coming from, and frankly, if these were public employees I’d mostly agree with you. But as long as healthcare is considered an employment benefit (fair or not—not the point), everything is on the table in private sector negotiations.
Wow. Negotiate anything ever? Do you walk into a dealership and demand to pay more than sticker?
PA laws have gotten a lot better the past few years (but are still pretty dumb). Quick guide:
CP of CPs... unless you’re in LA, where I believe you could call it a “starter home” and get twice as much.
Only Russian ones.
Well DUH, David Tracy’s alias. I know you totally, absolutely could and would buy a Rolls if you wanted to, but’s soooo much more fun off-roading in a decrepit postal Jeep, steam tractor, or Conestoga wagon pulled by ferrets.
Seriously honest question from an American meant with no snark or irony [puts on kevlar, jumps in foxhole]: Who is this and what is the story? Even a “here’s the link, dumbass” would be helpful.
I definitely was and had bought a few new (and several used) cars at this point. It’s far from my area of expertise, but I believe there was a marked difference in advertising and sales experience. Instead of the ad hominem attack on Mack, what would you say changed or didn’t change?
Exactly what I was trying to say, and I didn’t mean to completely shit on Gnomadd’s point. I’m fine with the definition of a replica being a bit fluid, but simply kludging a body kit and an air cleaner cover on a C3 gets my goat. Maybe maybe at least a Ford drivetrain?!?
Decisions, decisions... Green Man vs. Phanatic or
I kinda doubt that. Besides Escalades, Americans seem to have really tuned out Cadillac. Some of it is irrational, but charging a massive premium on a slightly nicer Buick ain’t gonna cut it.
