Really, it’s come to this?
That’s impossible to say. The car could be good for another 100K with just regular replacement of consumables and you’d have $about $6K to spare. Or, it could dump its transmission or suffer a myriad of inscrutable electrical gremlins and cost you the whole 10-gees in no time at all.
This could potentially be a nice price if, and only if, the owner has documentation of maintenance.
What’s his address?
A full professional respray is a $3-4k proposition- and that’s assuming there’s no significant rust hiding in there. For $7k, you could get one of these in much nicer condition overall.
+1. A very well written piece.
I’m not in a union. If I were fired for being gay, I’m pretty sure I’d have a real nice discrimination lawsuit on my hands. So I wouldn’t worry about that.
I think you’re thinking of at-will employment. At-will means the employer can fire you for whatever reason. Right to work has to do with unions.
I’m a hardcore Porsche fan but I have to admit, all the hate for the fried-egg headlights has turned them around for me. I actually find them appealing in a sort of “fuck you Porsche purist” kind of way.
If most college football players thought this way, the University of Hawaii would be undefeated every year.
There are at least *2* in the United States then. Here is the Clio V6 in the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville.
You sir, are a dumb ass.
Are you fucking serious? How is this the NRA’s fault?

I don’t think the dealership experience would be the biggest hurdle to overcome.
I know this has been said and debated but the biggest problem they still face is the badge.
Jalops love to praise companies such as KIA and Hyundai for taking bold steps and meeting delivering enthusiast vehicles but none (or few) of them…
I’m not saying people are paying full MSRP, but if I build a car on the website and it tells me the base price will be X before discount when it is really Y before discounts, that’s not cool.
Well, 2nd worst. She could have stayed in the car.
I wish there was a law passed that forced car dealerships to fully disclose out-the-door pricing with complete breakdown. Instead of this “let’s see how badly we can screw over every customer” strategy.
76 years old and going out in a high speed crash in a muscle car. I can think of worse ways to sign off.
