Will Discovery ever become fun? With all the tears being shed, I think we have enough water to host a pair of whales in the cargo hold. I care about the characters and enjoy the overall premise, but the series is far too heavy on the sentiment. I long to see a Ferengi, or watch some Klingons get crazy with a barrel of

I think I need to marathon Star Wars or the MCU movies tonight. Every article I read just sounds like election coverage — Boba’s armor is “yet to be officially confirmed?” What does Nate Silver say about that? Did the Associated Press call this too early? Have all the Mandalorian clan mail-in ballots been counted yet?

Way to go Bro!

I saw it as a reflection following whatever doom befell Mandalore. When the planet became lost (an event I’m not sure has been explained in depth), the remaining Mandalorians embraced their earliest and most orthodox traditions.

I like how slow the episode is — it exists outside the zeitgeist season 1 created. Minimal Baby Yoda, no advancement of the story, etc. Contrast that with other shows like Game of Thrones, which seemed to respond directly to memes and fan commentary as it developed. The restraint is especially surprising given that

I’m really enjoying this season and its emphasis on character development. But, it’s sometimes so sentimental it borders on a parody. Anybody remember that Seinfeld episode where Elaine’s dating a guy who stares off into space every time the song Desperado plays? That’s what Discovery can be like. Thank goodness for

I love sentimental beats in science fiction, but Discovery is taking it a little too far. It almost feels like a parody at this point. Thank goodness for Georgiou, but I wish the series had more emotionally diverse, rough around the edge characters. I think one of the finest examples is Jadzia Dax, who managed to

Interesting that nothing from the new trilogy is here. I agree that those films were mostly disappointing in the scary department, but I still think some credit has to go to the opening scene in the Force Awakens. Also, Han’s death. I mean, you knew he was going to die when he walked toward Kylo -- but, I still held

Considering how important they were to the plot, I thought they must have been in on it. And some of their dialogue felt too good to be true. Like, the filming team just happened to find the perfect pair for the story?

Wow, I never realized Trump looked so much like William Shatner.

What might this controller feel like for someone with carpal tunnel issues? Is it the miracle cure we’ve been waiting for, what with all these vibrations? Or, will it exacerbate the pain?

I guess I’ll buy AC Valhalla then. Was going to hold off on that game because I didn’t want two open world games so close together.

I bet he’s going to be helmetless for a big portion of the season. Otherwise what’s the point of having Pedro Pascal in the show as a voice? No way he spent season 1 inside that costume — I’d throw my agent into a pool of hungry sharks.

Metal Gear Solid. You’re one exclamation point away from an army of guys with sub-machine guns running you down.

Thank you!

How radiated is moon water and what kind of processes will it have to go through to become usable (either for human consumption, or technological use)?

Last of Us Part III

Why is the artist’s rendition of a scared woman? The child was walking next to her and by all indications, this was a regularly traveled route. I don’t think people back in the day were too concerned about rain and lightning. It’s not like there was a Patagonia across the swamp.
