Big Sparky Lasagna would be a killer name for a rock band.

Garfield approves.

Correction: the current battery is big sparky lasagna. The new one will be an even bigger sparky soup.

So the battery is a big sparky lasagna. Got it.

It has only been a couple of months and, I think, carmakers are clinging to an increasingly irrational hope that this whole thing might just blow over.  You’re going to see prices plummet.

I agree. I bought a decent amount of Toyota stock near the bottom of the crash. I also bought Ford... more on a “let’s be a river boat gambler” investment. I am much more confident in Toyota’s stability than Ford’s.

1st Gear: 80% drop in profit still means they are making a profit. I would see this as a pretty good silver lining given the situation. Plenty of others are talking losses.

And if it’s not in the testing documents it would surely be in the test car’s internal logs. That's the only way Musk could be making such a specific claim, really.

It should be very obvious in the testing documents. No way they just have a summarized result with no details for each step of the test.

But Texas has to open up tomorrow, because we can’t be having all those people on unemployment. Never mind that we have the second lowest testing rate, or that infections keep rising.

And it’s not like there’s going to be anyone to buy these cars they’re in such a hurry to make. They’re just gonna make more cars the dealers can’t sell, causing the all their dealers to be overloaded and they'll end up slowly and stopping production anyways later.

Trump says that COVID-19 can’t catch up to you if you are going over 100 MPH

You mean getting in the car, going someplace, then going home when you’re done?

The market Everything is all fucked up

Yep, three cars but I haven’t been to a gas station since February. Ironic that the reason gas is cheap is the same reason we won’t buy it cheap.

No One Knows What’s Happening with the Used Car Market

Yay! Cheap gas.

That percentage seems low.

Because it is a large amount of money in an industry without a sterling reputation for forthright dealing.

Usually I’m scornful of people saying “But MY favourite activity is essential, the lockdown shouldn’t apply to me!”.
