i mean to be fair ppl can also just not. Maybe buy a fucking elantra and not a f250. I am very sympathetic to the poor - ive been there myself. I bought used reliable transportation.

Eh, while what you say is true about earnings vs. car prices, it’s also that there are lower-priced new cars that would probably not require a long ass loan to ‘afford’, but many (most?) people think they deserve something better, even if it’s out of their price range.  For years I’ve called it the Kardashian Effect.

Of course 7 year loans are here to stay.

I assure you that millionaires do not necessarily have taste. See also: the continued existence of Mansory.

I mean, if only they had a separate brand with little baggage... One that they had... but didn’t kill off...

Non-enthusiast but I’d like to become one. The picture looks awesome as far as I’m concerned. I like it! It’s got nice, clean lines. I could see myself on a bike like that.....

Me, an enthusiast - they don’t look good.

I mean, I get it, but what is Harley going to do to make a, say, GS buyer want to buy a Harley instead? Or someone shopping the multitude of cheaper streetfighters out there to want to buy a Harley streetfighter?

More likely scenario: too little too expensive.

Valid but stigma.

Enthusiasts: Harley needs to change its image, it’s a dead brand.

Harley: Hey, here are some cool new designs we’re working on that are unlike anything we’ve ever built!

Enthusiasts: TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE!

“The current regulations have given Mercedes a clear advantage, with a second tier consisting of Red Bull and Ferrari, while the remaining seven teams fight for what’s left”

But they’ve done so much to endear themselves both inside and outside their target market! They could run a campaign “As infectious as Ebola!” and not do worse.

More like, ‘God damn it Harley, you used to be cool’

“While that may be a legitimate demo with money, it has thus far not proven to be a reliable group.” Tell that to Ducati, Triumph, and Indian, who are all making a lot of money directing their products to the 35-60 demographic (and younger!)

He’s bungled this situation so badly he is grasping for anything that makes him look competent. Full disclosure: I work for the company in question. I don’t agree with everything we do, but I am proud that we did the right thing here and I’m super irritated that he is trying to take credit for it.

Trump likes to take credit when it makes him look good.

Tell that bum MostDispleased - I’m winning at science. I have thoughts on this. I suspect the solution to the corollavirus will be science. I’d probably give myself a B+, maybe an A on science. It might even be an A+, I don’t know. I have a 10 year old son, he does well in the science. And that’s because of me.

My impression of GM is that it is a company that desperately wants to make bold, exciting things; but is simultaneously terrified of bold, exciting things. They’ll dazzle us over and over again with exciting concepts, but should something interesting accidentally make production, they’ll nearly always kill it with

Car and Driver referred to the Sevilles in their review as “pre-vandalized”.
