You wrote this article as if leaving a dead body on the NYC subway was a bad thing. I applaud the police for keeping the subway interesting and not stopping any trains. The dude is already dead so why mess up everyone else’s commute :-)
Please don’t refer to this engine that was late to the party and at had issues that GM knew about as having come from the “Skunk Works”. I need not remind you or the readers that the real “Skunk Works” was at Lockheed and it produced the fastest plane to date, in the world, the legendary A-12 and SR-71 variants.
Dear god, Pininfarina designs GORGEOUS cars. I have always loved their designs!
Almost done reading this book. I highly recommend it, if you have any interest race cars :-)
“Maybe GM Is Just Bad at Everything”?????????
OK so let me get this straight, GM couldn’t make GM work in Europe, nor could it make GMC, Buick, Vauxhall, Opel or SAAB amongst other brands work in Europe, but it’s going to make electrical bikes work there!
Nope, nope, nope! That's hideous, but then again beauty is in the eyes of the beholder :-)
Depending on the price, they may have converted me to a Mini owner as all the other hatchbacks don’t come in 2-Dr models (hint hint VW) and I am allergic to 4-Dr cars :-)
I’ll go out on a limb and say that funding is not the issue for the MTA and the NYC subway. It is how it’s spent, if memory serves right about 80% of the expenditures goes to the union workers (including, construction, maintenance, etc.).
Did you guys photoshop out the “I’m Dick” stickers? LOL
In recent history, F1 has always been faster than Indy, but that’s comparing apples to oranges as the article outlines. In my opinion it is interesting to compare from an intellectual perspective rather than a qualitative basis to “show”, “prove” that one is better than the other.
I believe a few years ago, BAR-Honda trimmed out an F1 car and ran it in a straight line and it went above 250 MPH. Not a fair comparison, but an indication. F1 can’t be compared to Indy on an oval as the Indy car set-up and build is not symmetrical on ovals (e.g., suspension, steering, alignment, tire pressures, etc.)…
I have seen 2JZ motors make reliable 2,100 HP allday (drag racing) and it truly is once in a lifetime incredible engine. Design and build quality which was far beyond the stock cars 300 or so HP.
Damnit, the Chinese are even better at traffic jams than the US!
NASCRrap: You can’t make these cars look any uglier
If the shoe fits :-)
Minor detail........
Italian or French? Is it a coincidence that as this car is announced, France recalls its ambassador from Rome................. I am just sayin’
Dr. Hubbard is another one of those true contributors whose contribution mostly goes unnoticed, much like John Fitch. RIP and thank you for saving so many lives.
