There’s an NBA franchise in Charlotte? I will write that down.

Thanks!

I see you’re just now learning what a genius Robert Sarver is...

So, not to be down about this, but who’s left standing? Burke and Hannah are out; are there others on the way or is buyout season over for now?

Nextim is an over-the-counter diet product that has yet to be approved by the FDA.

But they already have an expiring contract in Melo.

I’m not sure how taking back contracts in a trade helps a team that will be well over the cap in its current configuration for another three seasons. They can’t even avoid the tax threshold until 2020-21.

There can be as many offensive jokes as they want.

You’ll be missed. Thank you for all the weird shit.

So, the Spurs will lose Leonard after this season — he may never play another game for them even if they can’t trade him — which means instead of taking someone who has value to other organizations and getting a combination of picks and players in return, they now will get nothing for the best trade asset they’ve

It’ll definitely happen, the question is when. With Kobe, he was still putting up Kobe numbers until he blew up his Achilles at 34. All downhill after that. If LeBron avoids a serious injury, I don’t see why he can’t be great another three years, especially if (as the reports say) he wants to be less ball dominant in

Probably that, yeah. I’m just surprised the Spurs are still being blindsided by this. It’s pretty out of character.

Up until they told the Spurs point blank Kawhi wouldn’t consider the max deal. From that point on, the Spurs should have secured something tangible in return for him. Now they’ll be hard pressed to get anything at all.

Value of draft picks. The minute they’re used, they depreciate -- like driving a car off the lot. You can always get more for an unspent pick (or picks, in this case) then you can once another team drafts some guys.

They’re holding an empty bag. That’s how they fucked themselves. He had value until three weeks ago. Now he really doesn’t, certainly no value for the Spurs beyond whatever expiring contracts they could pick up in return.

And who knows if it actually did work out. I mean, I guess they accomplished their goal of having Paul George, but OKC’s still not better than fourth in that conference and they’re saddled with salary problems until 2021, at least.

I thought the packages with Kuzma, Hart, and picks were pretty decent. I could have seen a sign-and-trade with Randle, Hart, and picks, too. But once the draft happens, all those picks lose some value. Still, it’s more value than nothing, which is what it looks like they’ll have going forward.

Covington/Saric/a pick. That could work. What’s the point of having all that talent, Process, if you’re not going to maximize it? As for Boston, I’m a Jaylen Brown stan. I think he’s got some Kawhi potential, though certainly he isn’t as good defensively. I don’t know who else you throw in there, but he’d be my

You’re not wrong to think time will take its toll on LeBron, but we haven’t seen it start yet. They might be able squeeze a few spare parts out of somebody, and that’s a pretty well-worn Spurs recipe, but they’re not going to really leverage him into something else at this point. So, yeah, maybe just sit him. I

But they really have fucked themselves on this trade. They’re not used to making a lot of trades, I guess, but what’s his value for a rental? I guess the Paul George scenario would be the counterpoint, but what would you give up for a season of a guy coming off two leg injuries, especially if you’re Philly or Boston
