“I wish.”

Why not both?

25 percent on open threes this series. Dude got old.

The fifth one seemed legit.

Gobert’s foul trouble changed everything. For the Thunder offense, that’s obvious. Russ got going, probing the lane, finishing at the rim, and then he hit some big threes. On defense, it actually helped OKC because the high screen more or less became an afterthought, and that had been murdering the Thunder all series.

I could understand it if they didn’t have other viable options, but I think they’ve got a few guys who can carry the torch, certainly at least as well as Roman can. Rollins is great, Styles is the best in the world (even though he’s not going to be it because NXT that’s why), and if you’re not thinking long-term,

I accept the premise here. I still wonder how it translates to a week-in, week-out acceptance. Usually, when they don’t buy a guy, they really don’t buy him as champion.

Just from a wrestling narrative standpoint, how can they make Brock lose in a cage? His whole gimmick is now based around success in gated structures. On the flip side, maybe they think this would get Roman Reigns over ...somewhere? I still have a hard time buying it.

Inoki is at the center of many crazy stories.

From what I understand, the beat reporters were in New York getting treatments from their group for quad contusions.

Well, that story answers one of the questions associated with this sale...

Real grim. Next year, there’s almost $60 million invested in Westbrook and Melo, plus $20 million more for Adams. Grant’s a free agent, they’d still need a backup point guard because Felton’s on a one-year deal, Patterson is not really a thing, but you get Roberson and his velvety shooting touch back.

Yes, I’ve definitely had certain thoughts about Emma Watson, like “What in the world would she be doing with me? Is she brainwashed?” And that would indeed be the case here...

Three MVPs drafted in three straight years. Ridiculous. Also ridiculous: If they pay Russ, Melo, and George next year (probably won’t happen), they’d be in exactly the same boat financially as they would have been with all three future MVPs at age 25-30.

Alternate history: What if OKC traded Russ to Houston and kept Harden in 2012? Would we have Durant/Harden/Adams?

I get some of what they want to do as an offense — transitions led by Russ’s rebounding, the occasional iso trip, and good pick and roll action with Adams once in a while — but those things should be accents of an offensive strategy, not the whole thing.

As easy as it is to hate on Golden State, I’m a sucker for good ball movement. They are indisputably the best modern incarnation of that. And as a non-fan, there’s something about watching one of their guys heat up that’s like the slow climb to the top of a steep drop on a roller coaster. I didn’t see the Houston

That was some of the worst playoff basketball I’ve seen in quite some time. The Thunder did get a triple double — as a team — recording its 10th assist late in the fourth quarter. They actually went 22 minutes of game time without recording one at all. Russ had three in the first quarter...and three for the game.
