I think the difference is the army they have and the army they want. If Leonard came back on time, which was originally late preseason, then your main rotational guys are Murray, Mills, Manu, Gay, and Anderson. You could improve it, you still don’t have much of a presence in the paint, but that’s an outstanding NBA…

All true. And outside of a couple 6-8 game funks this year, they’ve been really competitive. I think they would remain that way without Kawhi — if they deem he’s too big a headache — and certainly would with him.
