The problem with relying on the ‘people get more conservative as they age’ was predicated on people acquiring some money and a place to live. Young people (45 and under) by and large didn’t actually acquire much money because no one raised wages in step with inflation and/or other things that outpaced inflation like

The CEO position needs to be the first one automated.

At least this guy had the guts to say ‘Yeah, I knew what I was doing, and it was bad. I shouldn’t have done it.’ instead of that sports idiot that called Mina Kimes a slur for Asians then tried to say ‘What? No. I meant to say Mila Kunis, not Mina Kimes!’ as if that’s somehow better.

Alyx is so good. I was legitimately sad when it was over. I wanted it to keep going for another 10 hours. There’s some other good VR games. SuperHot VR is great. The Darth Vader game is awesome. Elite Dangerous with a stick and a VR set is amazing. But Alyx was the first game I was emotionally invested in that I truly

Plus all the ‘OMG PEOPLE WON”T SPEND HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS ON JUST A VR HEADSET FOR NOTHING BUT GAMING!” when they already spend hundreds (thousands, now) of dollars on a video card for nothing but gaming. You can get a used Quest 1 for $100 on eBay and run it wirelessly to your PC or just plug it in with a USB cable

Regardless of wage increases (which isn’t true, it just hasn’t kept up with inflation), the cost of things HAS increased. Not to defend faceless corporations and mega rich executives, but health insurance, energy, telecom fees, real estate, etc has all increased so it costs more to make a game than it did 15 years ago

But you can only sell the to someone once. If you put the on drip feed in a monthly service, however... that’s guaranteed recurring revenue, baby! Bonuses for everyone!

I heard he hangs dong... THUNDERKOOPA!

The biggest problem I have with FromSoftware games is that I don’t have the desire to learn what to do by reading every page of every book in the game to find the lore out and guess at what I’m supposed to do next. I had Demon’s Souls and after 7 hours still had literally no idea what was going on.

I don’t think he was ‘making demands’. He said ‘This is how I do my voice. If this is good for you, then cool.’ Blame the producers, if anyone. Seth was just upfront about how is performance would be and they still hired him despite that warning.

I mean, it was awesome, and I’d love to have more, but David’s story was over and done with. I wouldn’t mind seeing some stuff with Jackie as a teenager, though. Or have some stuff with Panam, or Judy. There’s also so many people in the game that clearly have interesting lives but are only in it for a few minutes.

So I hadn’t known this existed until I read this. I downloaded it and I think I agree with the article fully. There’s too much mobile bullshit in terms of ‘You earn Schrute Bucks to unlock this, but you get Stanley Nickels to unlock that, and it costs 5 Jim Coin to play a game. Why do mobile games need 17 different

Other recent Sony ports have been pretty good, though. God of War, Death Stranding, Days Gone and Spiderman were all pretty excellent in terms of how they ran on PC.

My uncle worked with him at Nintendo in the late 80's.

Its the Ender Wiggin “Hit the enemy so hard that they can never hit you back.”

In 2001, my step-mom had a 98 Accord V6 that was the lease was finished on. It was already inspected, and drop off was set for 9 days later. My VW Corrado at the time was getting painted, so I had no car and my dad was like ‘just take the Accord.’ Well, being that it was already inspected for the lease turn in,

If you fix a bug, the bug is fixed. It may have other unintended consequences or manifest in different ways with different inputs or reveal other flaws or introduce NEW bugs, but bugs don’t magically unfix themselves.

Or that’s all they CAN afford. A 20 year old EM or FA Civic or mk4 Jetta 2.0 for $3-7000 are affordable and obtainable for someone making $15/hr and will mostly be reliable and easy to maintain. A 10 year old auto-only Corolla? Probably a better car than the previous two, but they’re $12K or so.

That’s two completely different things, though. A person can just as easily strike your child or t-bone you at an intersection. In fact, I’d venture to say that > 99.999% of all children ever struck by a vehicle were human driven. Same with t-boning.

I started roughly the same time as you. I was fired on July 8th 2000, though. I had downloaded a copy of Jet Set Radio (The Japanese version, since the US version had not been announced, nor released yet, and wouldn’t be until October of 2000). One of my coworkers asked if he could borrow it so I brought it in and
