*Real. Kinja on some kind of nine-second delay this morning.
Wasn’t this Kevin Powell also in the very first season of MTV’s Rea World?
Again, you entitled to your incorrect opinion. If you believe a typical Volkswagen has more “soul” than an S2000 or Integra Type R, that is your right, just as some people believe Justin Bieber has more “soul” than Aretha Franklin. It takes all kinds.
Hey, you are entitled to your opinion, despite the fact it’s demonstrably nonsensical. Particularly if you’re coming from a VW enthusiast perspective, for Pete’s sake. VW has historically been leagues below as Honda as far enthusiast products. The fact that VW has better sporty products today doesn’t erase the…
Legal, yes. But the manufacturer could also put a stop to it, if they wished.
Not going to work if people don’t buy them, or if it damages Honda’s brand and kills the “Type R” mystique along the way, is the point.
Which is exactly why Honda shouldn’t allow this type of thing. If it’s a questionably cool car at $30k, it’s going to be a laughingstock as a $50,000 car or whatever. And this is no Integra Type R; there are plenty of other spicy, sharp-handling compacts on the market this time around, so history and the car critics…
I think “we all” decided long ago that capitalism isn’t some kind of magical natural law that always gets things right. We have anti-price gouging measures, anti-trust laws; rules on market consolidation. Exploitation based on supply and demand is ugly, not some kind of divine right.
I don’t know if anyone remembers, but this is exactly what happened with the S2000 way back when. It wasn’t a cheap car to begin with, but dealers went nuts with markups like these. It soured me a little on the car (which was great, obviously) and Honda at the time. It seemed like Honda was okay with sticking it to…
I got the “truly exceptional” survey the other day after a free dealer first service / oil change and had a similar reaction.
I think Bosch is already “in” as far as the VW suit anyway.
“He’s so new to this”*
“He’s so new to this”*
“He’s so new to this *(and so reflexively crooked)* . . . ”
Any thoughts on why Maher, who clearly does not think of himself as racist or bigoted, think he can “go there” and use the most toxic word in our culture as part of a “joke” about himself?
Did the “climax” “leave you happy” though?
Maybe a silver lining to all of this will be the death of the braindead drumbeat that “America should be run like a business. Trump’s not that unusual as far as the heads of business organizations go.
