Eh. Decent premise and a charming cast, but too often had the look and feel of a tv commercial. Pepsi? Apple? So much lens flare and fountains and clouds.

America is now officially the kid who sits in the back corner of the classroom eating paste.
Not my best sentence. A little too Masterpiece Theatre wannabe sounding when a straightforward “Dog tired easily” would have done just fine. Ended up sounding just ... odd.
Seems like “health and well-being of the animal” ought to be a requirement for working toward any type of “breed” of dog.
Maybe a silver lining to all of this will be the death of the braindead drumbeat that “America should be run like a business. Trump’s not that unusual as far as the heads of business organizations go.
False equivalence is real, i.e., “liberal bias” comes down to competing conservative views being factually wrong (climate change, trickle down, etc. etc.). Fox spent years building up the idea that it was “fair and balanced” to give equal time and consideration to both reality and conservative / religious fantasy.
I think it was actually. 1989 VTEC vs 1992 VANOS. At the worst, it was one of the earliest successful consumer applications, which would hardly make it less than groundbreaking.
Just intuition, but I think that might be Bear #16.
“wiper-snapper” is the hot new term, stick in the mud.
It’s kind of how “civilization” works as well. Roads, schools, armies, power plants. Mr. Walsh’s salary (with gold-plated health benefits). Everyone benefits, but a few have convinced themselves they have magically created their own society and therefore are unfairly burdened by the cost of the very system allowing…
I don’t mean to be glib, or in any way diminish the horror of the ghoulish, beer-chugging glee with which Paul Ryan and his frat bros proposed to kill any American who doesn’t “choose” to be able to afford insanely expensive health insurance.
This is why all those laissez faire arguments about how markets and corporations are rational actors and would never hurt themselves by destroying natural resources are bullshit.
ALL of this, and I’d add that the “Just go to the E-room” fallback is also fiscally magical thinking from our supposedly hardheadedly pragmatic Republican friends.
Doesn’t sound like he’s testified to anything. The prosecutor is telling him he needs to amend the report. But then also apparently agrees with you the case was sufficiently weakened to drop the charges.
So there’s no allegation the evidence was faked or planted, just that the officer “re-enacted” the search? Which is totally unacceptable of course.
We might have this all wrong. Maybe it was a homcide triggered when Hernandez called caught himself mean mugging himself in the mirror and couldn’t tolerate that disrespect, even from himself.
Inference of what, though? That people who weren’t bothered by the private email server before were suddenly alarmed because Comey mentioned it again? In election-swinging numbers? Seems really *unlikely* to me.
No it doesn’t. It suggests some people make up their minds late, not why.
“WikiLeaks, which is believed to have served as an unwitting medium for the Kremlin-backed leaks,”
I’ll never forget the NPR segment in which some reporter, in the same two-minute piece, explained that some group of people wasn’t irrational, “like people who believe in UFOs or something,”and went on to reverently mention religious groups in some other context, implying without any apparent sense of irony that…
