If unionized car building is what causes problems with the fit and finish, what about all the vehicles that are built in other countries, such as mexico, the fit and finish isn’t any better. I realize that the company makes a larger profit on the car, but I feel as if cars being imported from mexico or other

I would be curious to see the same test for NA cars and see if the same gains are found. That was my original meaning, reason would say yes, but I would still be curious

e36 front, e30 rear suspension, whats not to love? kinda like a more livable z3

Where else can we go to shop? I genuinely dislike walmart and shop local as much as posssible, but still end up there a few times a month

Pretty sure the 200 is on the dart platform

You act as if the cars being mad in mexico have a cheaper MSRP when they go for sale on a lot here, last time i checked they cost the same money either way

Really, because I think of my father who did commercial drywall for 35 years and didnt make a living wage at it until he started working for the union 15 years in.

Having worked as a mechanic at a few dealerships the union ones were the only ones i didn’t get fucked over because my service manager had a bad day

Well it worked wonders for the industry, look how much better those people had it... we all know large businesses only have the working individual at heart

Why does everyone blame the union for this, no one lames the rampant world record breaking quality of shit corperate descision making and leadership when there is still a union to blame.

Tell that to mexico, india, and china.... oh wait profit margins are too high there for them to hear you

Said the man who has never been fired for no good reason.

probably due to going through the intercooler before the intake

I think it comes down to you seeing it as people bashing your car... clearly your car wasn’t one of the numerously shitty ones. don’t necessarily think your good experience outweighs many bad one

I remember the tech class covering the differences between the two, they actually use different pistons, rods, and some other components, likely cams, but I remember pistons and rods for sure

If you talk to anyone who understands hybrid powertrains you would know that by not having the gas engine power the wheels the efficiency of the drivetrain can be raised drastically. Right now the difference between prius and volt might seem small, but once the battery technology improves the volt will be miles ahead

pun intended?

Political correctness is retarded

ford’s 5.4 and 4.6 v8’s were also built in a 3 valve setup for many years

I recently set my miata up with a sweet sleeve valve engine and a comprex induction system... runs like a muted mime
