Yeah, he has a fantastic understanding (well duh) of the technical aspect of the event. He recognized and explained the specific dynamic issue that caused a skier fall. I enjoyed that a lot more than I would some guy sounding like a hyperventilating soccer announcer. He’s fine.

I like that the guy who is actually knowledgeable about the sport gets called out. I can see well enough with my own eyes that skiing is exciting, but I’m not typically aware enough to pick out how a missed tuck or separation in the legs coming off a jump would affect a time.

I’d rather have a sports announcer who finds nothing exciting than someone who finds *everything* exciting.
